Mats Hummels is a German professional football player who primarily plays as a centre-back. He is widely recognized for his technical ability, tactical awareness, and passing range.

Hummels began his professional career with Bayern Munich, making his first appearance in the Bundesliga in 2007. He then moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2008, where he established himself as one of the top defenders in the world.

A key member of the DFB German Football Team, Hummels has represented his country in numerous international tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup, which he won in 2014. He has also played in the UEFA European Championship.

After a period back at Bayern Munich, Hummels returned to Borussia Dortmund in 2019.
